CREDITS AND CONTRIBUTIONS

The Duluth Yacht Club website was originally developed in 2002 by Rob Trygg. In 2004, Erik Westman redesigned the site. Steve Henry took over primary maintenance with assistance from Susan Mattis Turnham. In 2013, Sterling Weatherford created the current design..

As the Duluth Yacht Club has grown, it became apparent that a different type of website was necessary in order to meet the needs of its members.  With that in mind, a new content based website was developed by club members with the goal of presenting all necessary information to participate in racing and cruising events hosted by the Duluth Yacht Club.

Development on the new website and its content was started on October 15, 2013 and continued on until February 4, 2014 at which time the website went live on a temporary domain.  A vote was then taken on April 7, 2014 by the Duluth Yacht Club Board of Directors to adopt the new website along with its content, and the website was then transferred to the Duluth Yacht Club domain on April 13, 2014.

Without help, the depth of content found on the new website would not be possible, and the whole of this project has in part been made possible due to contributions from the following Duluth Yacht Club members:

Allen Thomas who co-wrote the “Notice Of Race” and “Sailing Instructions” documents, and relentlessly contacted people for information, John Hoenig who provided rule corrections and course information for the new maps and input on the “Notice Of Race” and “Sailing Instructions” documents, Kimberley Firm who reviewed the website, its documentation and provided corrections and pictures to be used on the slider, Fred Dudderar who reviewed the website, its documentation and provided corrections and valuable reasoning, Tom Rauschenfels who wrote the “PHRF Rating Process” content, Steve Diamond who provided the “Bermuda Start” spread sheet, and Heidi Halker who provided the J24 schedule and “Rabbit Start” content.
